RELEASE OF LIABILITY
As the legal parent or guardian or organizer, I release and hold harmless to the business doing business as Nanaimo Art Studio OR 4Cats Arts Studio, its owners, operators and franchisor from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned, while in or upon the premises or any premises under the control and supervision of 4Cats Arts Studio Professionals, its owners and operators or in route to or from any of said premises.
HEALTH & MEDICAL POLICIES
Medical Emergencies
The purchaser gives permission to the business doing business as Nanaimo Art Studio, its owners, operators and employees to seek medical treatment for the participant in the event they are not able to reach a parent or guardian. I hereby declare any physical/mental problems, restrictions, or condition and/or declare the participant to be in good physical and mental health.
Masks
Masks are optional, but encouraged at this time, however, if requirements change, them may become mandatory again. We can not offer a refund if our masking policy changes, but can provide a credit.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
Workshops
We do not offer refunds. We can credit your booking if your booking is cancelled 48 hours prior to the workshop. To cancel a workshop, please email the studio at least 48 hours before the workshop start time. All registrations from the original order will be credited together. If you or a participant in your group is feeling unwell the day of your event please email nanaimo@4cats.com
In the event of a COVID-19 emergency lockdown, weather closure or instructor absence, credit will be given. Credit can be used for future in studio offerings.
There is $5 administration fee for any workshop transfers or credit requests.
Kids Session Classes, No School Day Workshops and Camps
We do not offer refunds. We can credit or transfer your booking if your booking is cancelled 2 weeks prior to the class or camp. To cancel, please email the studio at least 2 weeks before the class start date. If your child feels ill or under the weather the day of their class, please email nanaimo@4cats.com.

ARTWORK & PICKUP
General Timelines For Artwork Pickup
If you are not sure if your artwork is ready for pick up, please email nanaimo@4cats.com or message us on Facebook. Please check our contact page before coming to the studio to make sure we are open. We check our email and chat messages as often as possible. Please don’t send a chat, phone and also send an email. We promise we will get back to you.
Damage to Artwork
Kiln clay explosions are unlikely but they do happen. In the event of clay being damaged due to a kiln explosion, we are happy to provide emotional support and offer you a chance to come in and remake your art piece. Refunds are not provided for damaged clay due to kiln explosions.
BEHAVIOUR & TOUCHING
Please talk to your kids before they come about behaviour, listening, and touching. Absolutely no touching will be permitted of other students or the teacher. Students will be instructed before each lesson of this and to keep their hands to themselves.
Please note, in the event of disruptive or aggressive behaviour our policy is to call home for immediate pickup. No credits or refunds for being sent home for misbehaviour.
PHOTOGRAPHIC MATERIALS
Nanaimo Art Studio reserves the right to use photographic material for advertising and promotional purposes. If you do not want your child, yourself or a member of your party photographed, please let us know upon arrival.
